Thursday, October 5, 2017 - 15:49

The acting high-ranking security official of Ukraine, Lieutenant-Colonel Roman Labusov, defected to the side of the Donetsk People's Republic. He has stated this today at a press conference in Donetsk. Labusov was born in Donetsk, he worked at the SBU Directorate in the Donetsk region. Since 2014 he served in Mariupol.

"I am a Lieutenant Colonel of the SBU, I was in charge of the encryption and documentary connection department. I have gone over to this side in order to expose the criminal activities of the ruling elite of Ukraine," he said.

Along with that, Lieutenant-Colonel Roman Labusov plans to make public the secret documents of the SBU available to him.

"Thousands of secret documents of the SBU are at my disposal, in which there is enough information about the criminal activities of the Ukrainian authorities. I was in charge of the entire confidential and public information flow. I will proceed to publishing it on the sbu-inside.su website," the SBU officer said.

In particular, according to him, the evidence will be presented to the general public concerning the direct involvement of Western countries in the conflict, namely: financing sabotage and reconnaissance in the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic, interaction of the Security Service of Ukraine with foreign special services and funds, and receiving guidance from foreign curators.

In addition, Labusov intends to give to the public some facts that confirm the criminal activities of the so-called 'territorial battalions' both in Donbass and in other cities of Ukraine.

"In fact, representatives of the territorial battalions, in particular of Azov, are subordinated to Avakov in person [Arsen Avakov, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine – ed.], and even the president of Ukraine [Petro Poroshenko – ed.] is not their commander-in-chief. There emerged a situation when an SBU officer died at the hands of an Azov militant, he just got a bullet in the head. The case remained undisclosed," he said.

Labusov also touched upon the investigation of Malaysian Boeing crash in Donbass.

"The instruction [by the SBU leadership] was not to investigate the crime, but to collect evidence that this had been done by the DPR," he concluded.
