The reluctance of the Ukrainian military to participate in the hostilities in Donbass will lead to the fact that Ukrainian President Pyotr Poroshenko will lose the lever of pressure on the region. This opinion was expressed by the deputy Chairman of the DPR People's Council, Olga Makeyeva.
"Tendencies in the army indicate that already tomorrow Poroshenko can be left alone with the unconquered Republics. The army is the last lever of pressure on Donbass, after which Poroshenko will have to sit down at the negotiating table with the heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics and fulfill the Minsk agreements," Makeyeva said.
She explained that Ukrainian servicemen were increasingly refusing to go to the so-called 'ATO' zone, as they understood that they were fighting in Donbass with civilians, and not with Russian troops, whose presence was unprovenly stated by the Kiev propaganda.
