The Head of the DPR Alexander Zakharchenko denied the Ukrainian media reports about his injury, allegedly received during his inspection visit to the frontline zone at the past weekend.
‘You can see for yourself that it is not true. Yes, during the inspection trip to the contact line, we came under fire, and I got a slight scratch. As for the Ukrainian media, I can tell them, ‘Wait on!’,’ said the Head of the Republic to journalists.
According to him, the incident occurred on July 23.
‘The bombardment by the APU was carried out with howitzers and 120mm mortars. In this regard, I would like to ask a question: how come that this equipment is on the contact line? Why has it not been withdrawn in accordance with the Minsk Agreements? And why is there not an OSCE statement about it?’ added Zakharchenko.
